I love these graphic novels

So... Now I'm supposed to wait a whole year for heartstopper #5? HOW?

These novels have all gotten the same rating from me: 5 stars without a doubt! I love the writing of Alice Oseman and her drawings are so great, they really capture the right feelings. When the book was finally deliverd, I couldn't wait to start reading. At the end of the evening, I was already halfway. I just couldn't stop reading. At that moment I was living in the world of Heartstopper. Nick and Charlie are so wholesome together, I love it. They are two of my favorite characters. I also really love Elle, Tao, Tori, Darcy and Tara. And so many more. the characters are really well written and they all have their own way of expressing their emotions. I really like that. Besides that, all of them make up for a really diverse cast. Just amazing.

Now the story obviously has some trigger warnings, which are mentioned at the beginning of the book. This story not only tells the story of how Charlie and Nick are getting ready to say the words 'I love you', but they also deal with Charlie's mental health. He has an eating disorder, which can be difficult to read about if you have dealt with this as well. Just putting it out there, so that people are warned. The thing is, Alice Oseman, really researched it well and the experience in the book is just one experience.

Besides the fact that Nick and Charlie deal with Charlie's mental health, Nick also is struggling to tell his father about his relationship. When this storyline happened, I fell in love with Tori. I. Love. Her. What an amazing sister.

So yeah, this review is kind of all over the place, but the conclusion is this: read Heartstopper. You won't regret it.
