I am a big big big big fan of Sophie Gonzales. First Only Mostly Devastated and now this gem? I will forever buy Sophie’s book.

Perfect on paper is by far my favorite of 2021 at the moment (even though it’s only March). I read this book during a buddy read and I absolutely devoured it. The writing style is so amazing, it reads so fast. And the storyline, oh my. I am a sucker for secret identities and giving out anonymous advice and this book had that. It fit the story so well, I love it.

The characters are all so amazing. The main character, Darcy, is giving out anonymous love and relationship advice to her fellow students with locker 89. She is in love with her best friend Brooke, who doesn’t know that Darcy runs locker 89. When Brooke gets a girlfriend, Darcy is devastated, but in the meantime she met Brougham. He discovered Darcy’s secret and needs her help to get his ex back. Lost in the middle of all this, Darcy is fighting a battle with her feelings. Those three characters are kind of the main ones and all three are great.

I just can’t stress this enough, but this book is AMAZING. It deserves all the hype!

Also can we talk about this amazing representation? The Queer and Questioning club in this book was just great.

This book is A GEM!
