4,5 stars! Oh my, how I kept reading and reading and reading until I reached the end of the book. I absolutely loved it. This story is so important for everyone, no matter how they identify or their sexuality. It broke my heart how Ben's story started, how they got kicked out of their house. It broke my heart even more when the story progressed and Ben was suffering from the way they were treated and had to get therapy. But thank the author for Nathan. What a cutie is he. Nathan is a light in Ben's life, exactly when they needed it most.

Overall the story was great, the writing was good and I loved how the characters were developed. Nathan, Ben and Hannah were my favorite ones. The story really had hard parts by which I mean parts you hope to never have to experience in your life, but it also had really lovely and light parts like falling in love for the first time and forming a bond with your sibling. One thing I didn't really understand was why Ben waited so long to tell Nathan that they were non-binary. I get that they didn't want to get the same reaction they received from their parents, but oh how I felt sorry for them when Natan and the others constantly misgendered them. At some point I was actually thinking they would tell Natan, but then they didn't. They waited until the end of the story and then Natan and Ben quickly got together (yay!). I just wished I could've read more of their relationship instead of just two chapters. But that is kind of the only thing I disliked.

If you are looking to educate yourself about non-binary people, read this book. Seriously, I learned so much from this story. I still have so much more to learn, but this book taught me a lot. As a cis person, I will never fully understand what it is like to feel out of place in my own skin, but through Ben I got a little perspective and I thank the author for that. Hopefully this book will educate a whole lot of people.

Ben and Natan, I wish you all the best.
