Perfect for fans of high stakes heists

In Six of Crows, we follow Kaz and his crew of misfits as they take on an almost impossible heist. The reward is enougn for them to finally turn their lives around and leave the slumps of Ketterdam. But the risks are the biggest they've ever faced.
I can’t help it but the 1 thing that went through my mind the entire book is: Kaz is a genius. And that didn’t change. I loved getting to know him and seeing what he came up with.
The author’s writing was beautiful. The way she describes the world was very vivid and how she conveys emotions and thoughts was almost poetic at times. It made these feelings that much more intense.
Watching the series may have helped me navigate the different characters a little as I already knew who the core members were. But I absolutely loved the different pov chapters and how we get a little more backstory each time, however heartbreaking it was.
The story isn’t particularly happy but there’s humor to be found, even in the darkest of hours. And I loved that. The dynamics between the characters, the jabs they dealt each other. I truly had a good time reading this book.
"We're either geniuses or the dumbest sons of bitches to ever breathe air."
Nina and Matthias are a great example of true enemies to lovers. And even though not a single kiss is shared in this book, I found myself kicking my feet at certain moments.
Six of Crows was a very entertaining book where I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen next. The constant change in pov’s, the dangerous, high-stake, missions and the rather fast-pace of the book all made it quite the ride.
