dissapointing
In a world where girls are seen as dangerous, seductive creature, 16 year old Tierney has to go through her grace year to purify herself from her magic and return to society to get married. That is... if she returns.
This book had an intriguing synopsis and starts of strong with a great description of the life our main character Tierney is living at the moment.. Liggett's writing style is very good, but from the moment the grace year starts, the story goes downhill for me.
A lot of the plot twist were very predictable, there was an unnecessary romance and the characters make barely any progress throughout the story.
The ending absolutely dissapointed me, except for the statement of one of the side characters. This standalone felt like the set-up for a sequel that I won't be reading.
