Geweldig goed vervolg

Blood of the Dragon by Hypatia Rae is the second novel in the Beyond the Veil series and picks up right after the ending of book one. What I really loved is that at the beginning of this book there is a summary of the storyline of book one, The Witch of Faymeria Wood. It is a short recap of book one, so even if you have not read the first book in this series (which you totally should) you can read Blood of the Dragon on its own.

The writing style is again great, flowing and the book is easy to read. Everleigh is a great character and now she has to come to terms about Prince Silas, who she feels has betrayed her. Meanwhile Silas has to find his way again after being asleep for so long. There is more to find out about Everleigh herself and the disappearance of her mother and as the story progresses we, the readers, find out more what happened years ago. This made it really hard for me to put the book down.

The worldbuilding, the side characters, the pet goat and little dragon, all is amazingly told by Hypatia Rae. I had no idea when I started reading this series I would love it so much.

So, if you want to read a really entertaining fairytale fantasty series, with wonderful characters, a well developed worldbuilding and an amazing storyline, with a lovely and flowing writing style, this is the series to read.
