Great YA fantasy Novel

In The First Whispers of Fate by C.J. Nolen there are two story-lines: Aideen has a secret she has to keep, while ship cook Hamfest has to sail to a mystical island. It was a bit strange that these two stories do not seem to come together, but maybe in the next novel we will learn more.

I loved this book, it was a great fantasy novel, with mystery, secrets, danger and some twists and turns and an ending which makes me want to read the next book. It starts a bit slow. The world-building with many details is great and the writing is flowing.

The First Whispers of Fate is a great fantasy novel and I can’t wait to see where the story will go next.
