Dark Awakening by A.L. Hampton is a story where vampires co-exist with humans, only their relationship is threatened. When Ryland meets Dani, they get in an explosive romantic relationship. But enemies are on the hunt.
When I started reading this book, I had no idea what I would read. The plot and storyline drew me in and I just loved the world-building and mystery. Ryland is a great character, while Dani gets pulled into the supernatural world. Their relationship is great and they have a great chemistry.
The writing style is nice and there is a lot of banter and humour woven in this mesmerizing story, but there are also twists and unexpected turns.
If you want to read a good kind of unique fantasy vampire story, with a good plot and story-line, great world-building, but also with a lot of spice, this is the book you want to read.
