Into the hype
So, has anyone read this? I finished it today... it was lying on my bed stand since February, having been read 100pages or so... but I found it tedious, although very interesting! And this week, I managed to pick it up again...!
What can I say about this book... it’s (as mentioned on its cover) a brief history of humankind (nod to the great Stephen Hawking) and it is just that, but an elaborate (his)story going from sapiens and neanderthalers till modern day human! A very interesting starting point for this book, an essay about us... but tediously written (a lot of repetition)! It will not hold me back from reading his other books though!
