Romantic, sweeping, luxurious and glamorous

I completed this book I also read the first one .
A fantastic sequel to the Seven Sisters with the same vivid characters and intriguing story lines. A must read for anyone who’s a fan of history, music and just amazing books in general!

In this book, we are introduced to sister #2, Ally D’Aplièse – a confident, driven and talented sailor. We follow her story in finding her true heritage along with her experiences with falling in love. her story is just as captivating as Maia’s, if not more. The Storm Sister is definitely a longer read – a whooping 688 pages but I hardly even noticed the book’s intimidating size because I JUST LOVED THE STORY SO MUCH.This time, we not only have two parallel stories BUT THREE. The second one ends about halfway through the book then fast forwards a generation for the third story. It’s pretty cool. We learn about Ally’s links to the composer, Edvard Grieg and her incredibly, musically talented heritage. Literally, each one is gifted in music one way or another – whether its piano, composition, violin, oboe or flute. Now, everything makes sense about Ally’s gift with the flute.

All the stories are intriguing and not one of them are boring. They all have important historical contexts which make their whole story even more interesting. The characters are each so distinct. Allie and her determined nature and her adventure through Norway is not only beautiful but also filled with so much emotion. Her romance with Theo is so swoon-worthy and beautiful that my emotions went haywire.
The writing, the pacing and the whole plot line is so well done. The second and third stories end sooner then you think but it fits somehow. For a huge book, there is no boring part. Each page is as important and captivating as each other. The writing is amazingly romantic and the plot line so original.

Riley describes Norway’s history and landscape so beautiful, I just NEED to visit that country ASAP. Even in The Seven Sisters, Riley’s description of Rio and Paris was so gorgeous that I was filled with so much yearning to visit.

This book perfectly combines self-discovery, history, culture and travel into a series which will leave you feeling whimsical
