Lezersrecensie
Nice read
It is difficult to write a good novella, simply because there are less pages to write a full story, in which you also want to create some depth for your characters. Cornetto has succeeded in this. Because of the alternating perspective, you get to know three characters quite well. They have a distinct background that shapes them and makes them interesting. The writing style was also pleasant, as was the pacing.
The ending was a little too open for my liking, although I realize that this novella is part of a writing project that involves many more stories. So the story is not completely "finished," but I would have liked to know a bit more about the secret behind the door. I'd give this novella 3.5 stars - I enjoyed reading it, but it is not a story that impressed me much.
