A beautifully haunting modern fairy tale. That is what this book is. I ate it up!

The setting is so eerie and you constantly feel like you know where it’s going, but it keeps going in a slightly different direction. I must admit I did figure some key things out rather early, but everything around it was so surprising that that was just perfect!

I loved figuring out the characters and how the world worked. It sucked me in so much that, when I went on a walk with our dog, I was on edge the whole time Everything sounded more ominous than normal…
