Bertie Wooster has a lot of friends that get into some kind of trouble. And although Bertie is known as being a chump, still they turn to him for help. Again and again his advice proves to lead to disaster.
But each time Jeeves comes to the rescue. Schemes and schemes within schemes lead to the desired result although not necessarily as asked or expected. But in the end it is all for the best.
In a rare perspective change we get a view on the inside of the head of the great man himself. He tells the last story in the book himself, not sparing his master but also exposing his scheming technique to ascertain the status quo in his life.
