Good second installment for Kat and Lock
Kat and Lock have their first live case. A man is found on a hill, crucified. Since this is a new case, the stakes are higher than with cold cases. It also means the media get involved and with Lock being an AI, he may lack some finesses in talking to the press.
Why was this man killed and who did it?
Meanwhile Kat still struggles with being home by herself after the death of her husband and her son moving out to Uni.
Beiden Lock she gets help in this case from colleagues Debbie, Who is pregnant, and Rayan who is into the scientist that created Lock. Kat also makes a new friend in pathologist Judith.
This thriller is a very good next installment in this series. I enjoyed the who-dunnit, laughed about the social interactions with the AI and liked the topic on the difference between women and men when going home from an evening out
