Not Aven's best

To start ofd: I'm a huge fan of Aven Ellis' books. If you love feel good romance with independent women, with jobs etc, she is a writer for you. She includes small references to older books in new ones, she has created an alternative reality to ours, and it is nice to read these little throwbacks like including "famous" people you 'know' because you read a book about them. You can find her books through Patreon or amazon. She publishes by herself.

That being said this was the first book I read of her that gets three stars instead of the usual four. Too much sugar and sweetness I think, could also be because I read it in summer and the whole book is very Christmas themed.
We meet Georgie, she is a jar crafter who loves christmas and all things pink. Her business is not doing very well but White she is at a craftsfair selling her jars she gets a very odd job offer. She is to be a fake girlfriend to hockey player Beckham for a month for 100k. He needs a nice girl to save his image and in return he will help promote her business. She agrees to the proposal, not only because the guy is hot, obvs, but that is a nice bonus. It doesnt take long before they really fall in love.

The story was too much happiness, no real bagage or troubles to overcome. It is just too smooth. Also, at first the booktok jokes were fun, but after the 5th reference it just got annoying.
I will definitely read her new books, but if you've never read any of her books I recommend starting with Royals series and the Billionaires series, both are great.
