Deze super schattige fall romance volgt Jeanie. Ze is klaar is voor een nieuwe start en neemt het Pumpkin Spice Café van haar tante over, nadat ze haar saaie kantoorbaan in de stad achter zich liet. Op haar eerste dag botst ze meteen op Logan - de knappe lokale boer wiens hart al eerder gebroken werd door een meisje uit de stad. Logan is vastbesloten om Jeanie op afstand te houden, maar de aantrekkingskracht is te groot. Voor je het weet vallen de grumpy town favorite en de opgewekte café‑uitbaatster als een blok voor elkaar.

Ik las dit boek al eens, maar omdat ik de serie wil verderlezen, heb ik het nu als audioboek opnieuw geluisterd. En eerlijk? Ik vind het nog steeds heerlijk. Schattig, romantisch en zo voorspelbaar dat het precies goed zit. Ik hou van de personages, de vriendschappen en van de kleine hints naar de volgende boeken. Is het het allerbeste boek plotwise? Neen, maar het was wél het perfecte audioboek tijdens het koken, kleuren of ontspannen. En nu ben ik extra benieuwd naar de rest van de serie.

I had already read this book, but because I want to continue the series, I listened to it again as an audiobook. And honestly? I still love it. Cute, romantic and so predictable that it's just right. I love the characters, the friendships and the little hints about the next books. Is it the best book plotwise? No, but it was the perfect audiobook to listen to while cooking, colouring or relaxing. And now I'm even more curious about the rest of the series.
