Awesome story!

After reading ‘The ghost tree’ by Christina Henry, I knew I had to read ‘Horseman’ too this October!

I absolutely love her writing style. She has the ability to take you on a creepy and kind of magical journey.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
‘Horseman’ is based on the legend of Sleepy Hollow and I think she did a very good job with the story of Ben around this legend.

She picks up the story two decades after the original tale of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Characters were interesting, had the right amount of depth and the story was well developed and had some awesome twists!

I really loved the dark side of the story. The story is very atmospheric!

There’s a lot going on in this story when we talk about emotions, and I felt them. I felt the loss of loved ones and the grief. It was intense and made me cry at the end.

Christina did also a good job when it comes to the timeframe of the story. The difference between men and women were visible.

‘Horseman’ was definitely an awesome , dark atmospheric horror retelling set in the woods of Sleepy Hollow!
