Romcom vibes

A cute romance story that reads like a romcom.
Gemma works as a stylist for a young start up company that helps clients become more stylish for whatever reason they may have. A stay at home mom that wants to get back on the job market, a divorcee trying to get back on their feet or women in a shelter trying to pick up the pieces of their lives. She has two best friends and the three of them are the Chick Flick Club. Coming together every week to watch a chick flick together and doing what best friends do best.
Zach is Gemma's neighbor, hairy (hence the name Bigfoot), without a job and somehow still manages to have a different woman in his appartment every week. Gemma and Zach are complete opposites...... or maybe not so different.

When Gemma gets a chance at a big promotion that somehow turns into a bet with her competitor Zach gets to be the one she hase to make over. He has no interest in helping her or changing himself. Eventually, as any good romcom does, he gets on board and agrees. Gemma has 10 days to turn Bigfoot into a stylish man with a neat appartment without him knowing the makeover is part of a bet. Time is ticking but as they spend more time together they get to know the other better and better. Gemma turns out not be the uptight woman Zach held her for and Zach turns out to be a funny (and hot) guy underneath all that hair and baggy clothes.
Of course somebody has to ruin it for the happy couple (again, this fits the romcom vibes) and a third act break up follows (communication is key people). Both get hurt and both are sorry but it ends with a HEA with Gemma and Zach turning a new page in their book of life.

I liked the stroy, it was funny, cute and the banter is on key. There were spicy scenes without it being too much, a great read for in between heavier books or if you want a nice little palette cleanser.
