Such an impressive book!

A very impressive story which is written very well. Since it’s written through a child’s eyes it gives a totally different dimension to a journey that is horrible to undertake for an adult, let alone a little boy on his own. After finishing it I’m still thinking about the story all day… I hope the author has been able to get in contact with the people who took care of him during the journey, Patricia, Carla and Chino.
If you liked this novel and the subject, I can also recommend Jeanine Cummins’ “American Dirt”, although Javier’s novel impressed me most being an autobiography.
Also, it’s very hard to not make political remarks here, let me just say I hope this novel makes you think and you will appreciate the good life you have….
